Ever struggle to keep your mind fixed on Him? I chose this verse because I can get so easily distracted and pulled in different directions–whether it's the needs of my kiddos, worries inside my head or notifications on my phone.
The phrase “perfect peace” in Isaiah 26:3 is originally translated “shalom-shalom”–a double portion (!!) of shalom, which ultimately means perfect reconciliation with God.
The prophets foretold a coming “Shalom” that would come through the Messiah! Our ultimate Peace and Shalom is found in Jesus, because of His deep love for us.
When we fix our minds on this truth–that we are saved by grace because of His goodness and kindness and deep love for us, we can experience shalom and the wholeness, completeness, safety and fullness (all of these words are more meanings of “shalom”!) that His presence gives to us.
We have everything we need in Christ. No need to fret, no need to rush. We are deeply loved by a perfect God. What He offers us (Himself!!) is so much better than anything the world offers. He takes our fragmented and stressed out hearts and transforms us to be whole and complete in His love.

I had a stroke 3 years ago. I lost my ability to comprehend and remember things. I lost the ability to recite Bible Verses that I had known all my life. A friend gave me a VERSELET!
